On another note... Cam and Leighton starring together in a movie = CoolestEntertainmentNewsInAges. Besides the Robward being jealous of Taylor for New Moon filming, though that was more like ">.> are you serious?" than cool. I mean, come on... Jacob is SUPPOSED to be the highlight of New Moon. It's the POINT of New Moon. ><; Bah. Twilight drama. Seriously, I feel like I'm so over this fandom, purely after the movie stuff launched. One of the customers last week, who's daughter is a huge Twilight fangirl, went "o.o wtf" when I told her the release dates for New Moon and Eclipse. Glad I'm not the only one with that reaction...

(Sorry about that, Twilight fans. And Rob fans, though I wasn't targetting Rob. Just Rob as Edward [aka Robward].)
Anyway. Yes. Cam = &hearts Now please act in something that's not horror...? :(


And WOW, Tsubasa RC chap 219 was 23 pages!! WAY TO GO CLAMP despite the lack of dialogue and the continual wtfisgoingon. Speaking of TRC... I'm having trouble with manga colouring. Go me. Disappear for 3 months and forget how to colour manga panels like I used to. ._. *fail*

Maybe the rumours are just being blown more and more out of proportion (stares at multiple entries with "TAYLOR FOR JACOB" icons), but if they're true, this is completely ridiculous.

Replacing Taylor Lautner? He's a GREAT Jacob. It doesn't matter that he looked weird in Twilight cuz, well, they gave him a bloody plastic wig that would've looked terrible on anyone!

Like I said before, the only cast members I liked were Cam and Taylor (mostly Cam, but not the point right now)! James is now "dead," so goodbye Cam. And if Taylor leaves, well, where's the eye candy. (I am not a Robward fan, simply because Robward will never be Edward. Rob is Rob. Edward is Edward. Forcing the role becomes Robward. Simply Robward. Fini.)

If they're going to recast Jacob, they might as well recast Edward too. Rob was great as Cedric in HP, but he's not Edward material. Take out Taylor? Take out Rob.

If this is a choice by the new director, who, if I remember right, didn't even read the Twilight series until he was hired, then I have lost all faith in a satisfactory, if not enjoyable, New Moon. Who knew Weitz would be worse than Hardwicke?

This is getting ridiculous. And my respect for Meyer is decreasing every day. Support the new director, you say? In your money-filled dreams, miss.

P.S. Hey Summit Entertainment, I'll actually watch a Twilight-related movie if you guys made Midnight Sun with a tragic ending. Or in my opinion, it'd be a brilliant ending! The ending that Meyer would've written if she wrote "with her terrible mindset after Midnight Sun leaked": They run from James. James wins. CAM FTW!

Edit: Forgot to add. If it's the "baby-face" they're not ok with, a) why'd they cast him in the first place, and b) Jacob is supposed to be younger than Bella anyway. Little bro type, even if he has a freak 2-foot growth spurt in NM. And on that note, height shouldn't matter either. If they can make hobbits (and terrible impressions of Meyer vamps), they can make uber tall werewolves! Or are they planning to put most of the budget into ... "special effects?"

Two parts to the post: the unbiased review, and the "fuller story" with my biased commentary.

Warning: No spoilers unless you haven't read the series (well, technically just the first book for now), but there are details about the movie here. And remember: I'm giving my opinion, not to offend.


Unbiased review:
Not as bad as I thought it'd be, to be honest. But then again, I went in with low expectations after being thoroughly disappointed with the mediocre-if-not-disappointing casting, trying-way-too-hard trailers, terribly photoshopped-posters, and other ...promos. Obviously, the movie followed the book's plot line closely, but watching some of the sweet moments portrayed on screen really made them way cheesier than they actually were. The timing for the plot was also off... I felt like the first half of the book (pre baseball game) took up 80% of the movie, while the actual hunting/running constituted... 15%. The scenes felt a bit choppy, and the special effects seemed like they were working on a low budget. (Vampires aren't that slow, mister. The Cullens have super speed. Not "flying squirrel" speed. Super speed.) The characters, especially outside the Edward-Bella bubble, were underdeveloped. If I had not known what to expect with each of the characters, they would've seemed really shallow. Characters of no substance. The acting itself got better as the movie went along. Charlie was probably the coolest. Ok, aside from James, but that's only cuz it's Cam. :)

A decent watch perhaps? if you've never read the books. But to me, it barely does the novel any justice. So in my own opinion, it was kinda bad. XD;

So there's my feelings on Twilight for ya. Personally, I hope there isn't a New Moon, unless they switch directors.

And too bad James was torn to pieces and burned and will no longer be around. Yea. Cam makes me like the evil guy. T-T; He's always been great at the bad-boy look. It's like Annalyne pulling off the bitch look. It just -works-. (And I love them both :D)

- I like this so much more than the first trailer... at least I didn't laugh ><; though I did at the first sentence in the article ^^; Sorry if there are any Pattinson-as-Edward fans on my FList
- James isn't scary at all! Victoria doesn't look wild. T-T And I always imagined Bella's dad to look... older. And a bit chubbier.
- Will just keep waiting for release and hope I don't get disppointed...

Why is R!Syao's reason for his journey seemingly so... not awesome? =( And the Zero x Ichiru moment made no sense to me ^^; maybe I have to read dif translations when I get home to understand *end spoiler*

Running on 5 hours of sleep is worse than 3 hours. =.- I should've just slept 3 and feel better than I do at the moment. Finished Harry Potter last night =)... at 4 in the morning, but that's ok. I know I said I was going to take my time (and I have!) but the last section made it pretty hard to stop and sleep. XD

It was a lovely ending <3 So sad that Lupin and Tonks died. ;__; Poor Teddy! I never would have suspected that Snape loved Lily... that was a shock, but it really fit with why he hated James -that- much. It was comforting to know he didn't kill Dumbledore, and it -was- actually a setup. Hoorah Snape! I love how everything played out at the end though... it was so perfect. =) And heartwarming how everyone united, the "Snape-shaped hole", desks galloping, house elves stabbing people in the legs, Neville's courage, even Trelawney throwing orbs at people... it was great. ^0^ Rowling rocks (I know some people will disagree but shush)~!

Wow, what a day~

Woke up at 11 as usual (for me on Saturdays I mean), went to volunteer in Health Records for an hour (where I got this HUGE papercut that took out a chunk of my finger ><) then headed to my first ever Youth Team Leader meeting.

Le gasp! It was quieter than I expected... then again, they were ALL university students that were at least in their second year, if not already studying for a Master's degree,and there were only 7 of them. Scary scary, though I had a momentary feeling of pride. XD Woot. Long meeting though, lots talked about. We helped revise a new volunteer info session presentation. =) Whee!

Meeting went overtime... got home and dad said yes to me asking "300?!!" last night. XD And we went... but the 4:30 show was sold out. =.= So we bought tickets for the 6:45 and went home! =) Spent some time on commission (very little time, since my parts over now XD) and off to the movies after dinner. ^^

Seriously =D It's such a guy movie but OMG abs <3 X3 OMG action!! Omg the gore xD Too gory... with lots of topless girls =.= *covers eyes* And the guys were all ripped o.o... sexy. xP lol. Anyways it's a really great movie. X3 i LOVE the script... so many classic lines I wish I could've written down. <3 Sigh... =D Must get (pirated) DVD! XDD

XD Can't help it, was reading an interview between Fox (Mark Wystrach) and Miguel <3 (Adrian Bellani) and aww they get along so well IRL, unlike the show X3 They're both the new actors for their characters... of course, Fox came before Miguel, but only by about.... 5 eps or so. (Yes I've been watching Passions forever.) Bellani's so cute. =) Here's a snip:

=D It truly is. And no, I'm not talking about the manga. I'm talking about the Taiwanese drama!! X3 Which I amazingly have in dvds downstairs XDD It is SOOO good! X3 <3 Zai Zai!! (read on to understand what I'm blabbering about)

At first I didn't even know it was Mars. My mom and I both thought it was a movie, so we put it into the DVD player. There were some problems with our chinese dvd player (we have a chinese one (to play both asian formatted stuff and "normal" dvds XDD), and a... english one XD), so I went to deliver the papers while my mom and dad tried to fix it. By the time I got back, my mom had already started watching it, and just finished the prologue. I sat down just as the theme was playing and it showed the title "Mars"... though they spelled it funny or something cuz it appeared as "mArs" XDD IT'S OK! lol. I started freaking out and going o.o OMG OMG OMG! THIS IS BASED ON THE MANGA ISN'T IT?! *sees guy on motorcycle and shy girl* XD YES YES IT MUST BE IT! *finds out the boy is rebellious and fun loving* X3 omg it is~!!! *starts spazzing out on the couch*

=3 So yes, I got to watch the first two eps and i'm in loveeee! Both with the series and Chen Ling (translated into: Zero Chen [yes the guy's name in Mars is also Zero! XD TWICE THE ZERO LOVE FOR ME!!]) I don't usually like guy characters with shoulder-length hair, but eeeeeeee X3 The actor for Zero is Zhou Yu Min (yes he has the same last name as me XD it's the same chinese character =O tho that doesn't matter O_o...), or also known as Zai Zai. He's both an actor and singer (part of the famous band F4). =DDD

I really like the character personalities in Mars. Especially Zero and Qi Luo. Qi Luo is a really really quiet type and seems to either hate all guys, or fears them, due to some sexual harrassment in her past. She's almost the complete opposite of Zero in some ways, but I'm pretty sure both are fragile deep down with twisted pasts that haunt them. =) I'll see later on. X3 he's so sweet. This isn't a cheesy teen romance show! I'm very serious. Here, you can even read a review if you don't believe me.

XD hahaha that's so cute. But kang kang? O_o Taiwanese sounds different from Mandarin in some ways... though my parents refuse to call it Taiwanese XDD (they're the types that keep insisting that Taiwan is part of China and won't stand w/ nething else. I'm loosey goosy over it.)

Highlights of my day:

#1: Venice Craze
I watched Italian Job... again. Haven't seen it in ages. =3 It showed my beloved Venice in the first 10-20 mins X3 Ahhhh Venice... =D I claim it mine. No stealie. The boat chase rocked. (yes yes, boat chase =3) Handsome Rob is so cool XD And its amazing how Mark Wahlberg looked so young (and cute) for the most part in the movie, but looks old and rugged in real life XDD And the Minis =3 yay Minis and their awesome power =DD heehee. Oh and can't forget the Aston Martin <3 Here's a pic:

Sports cars, sports cars, and more sports cars. =) Aston Martin is def in my top 10, always. Stylish and powerful ;) Oh yes, definitely worth watching if you like thief movies like Ocean's 11 and 12, if not better ;)(imo). Most of it was NOT CGI!! =DD Which makes it even more awesome. The DVD I have (tho pirated) has special features and yes they showed how they did all the awesome stunts <3

#2: Who love's Sushi?
X_x I can't help it, i'm proud... I made sushi for the first time in my life and they turned out decent =) and edible. and no they didn't fall apart. It was supposed to be me helping mom but she made me do everything after she gave me a demo XD suits me fine, I can use the practice.



Hmmm not much else. I wanted to read Nana today, and start watching the movie (yes I have it, Mi-chan tell me if you want it =) it's got Eng subtitles) but my parents would've gotten mad if i was on the comp all day XD.

[Afternoon, around 4-5pm]
Woke up this morning, and the first thing I thought was "I feel so manga-deprived" XD I was reading Tsubasa vol5, and Genbu 1 and 2 last night... and I've gotten more and more addicted to Syaoran and Rimudo TT___TT Which can have it's benefits (i.e. cheer me up just thinking about them XD like just now... I got high just sending pics to Mi-chan to show her how hot Rimudo is), but makes me want the volumes more and more. XD So my wishlist for March will be...

1)Tsubasa volume 2 and 6 - From Del Rey
2)Genbu Kaiden volume 3 (IT HAS URUKI ON COVER!!!) - From Viz ShojoBeat
3) Glass Wings - From Tokyopop

XD Teehee *Is so high* I've been browsing this huge french site dedicated to Genbu Kaiden and omg I'm so obsessed now! XD I WANT GENBU 3 SO BAD!!! *murders parents for not letting me to any more conventions* nooooooo *sniff sniff* There were so many pics of the Drama CD's, Perfect World Magazine covers, manga scanlations, random pictures... *is in dreamland* XD Riiimuuudddoooo!! *heart heart*

Just got back from Ontario Science Center. I'm creeped out XD. All of the human body exhibit figures looks amazingly real... the muscles looked like real muscles... meat like, texture-wise, colour-wise. It said "plastication", so I thought everything was made out of literal plastic, so I thought "wow. That is AMAZING work, to be able to recreate that." But the more I went along, the more I realized... those were all real people. Dead now, but were once real. They were people who donated their bodies to science, then had plastic injected into their limbs to keep from decaying. *Shudders* I was so freaked out XD Even the organs and whatnot, and many of the models had the muscles torn away from their positions to reveal everything. They became disfigured and sickening ><

Conclusion? I DON"T WANT TO BE A SURGICAL DOCTOR.
